Why you need as-built survey?
Planning on remodeling or making a tenant improvement on your home, apartments, office or retail space then you need a set of as-built drawings to start the project with. Even with existing plans (blue prints) you will find changes, additions or alterations to the original plans. With a set of as-built drawings your designer, architect or interior designer can develop your project.

Reasons for as-built drawings?
As-built drawings describe the way a building exists, showing any additions, changes or alteration that have been made since it was constructed. Here are a few other reasons you need an as-built drawings.

How does our As-built service work?
Contact us with your projects needs, scope of work, time frame and any additional information. We will send you a proposal for our services based on your needs. (Note large or phased projects may required a site visit prior making a proposal)
Upon your approval of our proposal, we will begin by:
- - Documenting the building, home or site with pictures and sketches
- of the existing conditions based on your requirements.
- - Sketches indicate door & window size information and dimensions
- data, acquired by means of lasers and tape measures for greater
- accuracy. Other data information will be noted as needed.
- - Document field observation of structural elements as needed.
- - Create a set of CAD drawings from the pictures, sketches and the
- other information acquired.
- - We will provide you or your architect with a set of CAD drawings
- and/or a pdf files.
- - We provide you with one set of drawings for as-built service.
Additional Services
CD Draft offers additional drafting services to help you develop your as-built drawing from conceptual plans to construction documents for building permits. We save your as-built and/or other drawings in our archive for your immediately and future needs.
